Yves Beauchamp is Vice Principal, Administration and Finance, at McGill University. Before, he was a full professor of industrial engineering at the École de Technologie Supérieure, where he also held other positions, including that of Director General, for a 10year period. More recently, at the Université de Montréal, he assumed the duties of Director General and Vice-Rector for the development of the Outremont campus. During his career, Yves Beauchamp has received many awards and distinctions, including the rank of “Knight” of the Ordre national du Québec and the Medal of the National Assembly of Québec in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of the École de technologie supérieure. He was appointed a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and received a tribute from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in recognition of his outstanding contribution in research and teaching. Dr. Beauchamp is a member of numerous professional associations and sits on many boards of directors. He has authored or co-authored over 100 articles published in international scientific journals (refereed), national and international conference reports, as well as many scientific and technical reports. Mr. Beauchamp has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering, a Master of Industrial Safety and Hygiene from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, with a specialization in applied ergonomics from West Virginia University.
